It’s me. kerii – your little darling. How lovely is that we are finally getting to know one another better. Would you like to know why everything is as it is here with me? Great, then we have a date.

Everything exceptional.

The entrance is reminiscent of a garden centre, rather than a hotel lobby. Instead of a huge hotel and nightclub, there are just 34 rooms and everyone gets to enjoy the same thing. You won’t find a Reception. Planting is done on ferro-concrete, which withstands static, and it rains twice a day in the greenhouse too.

Everything a little bit different.

You can help yourself in Groma, twenty four seven. Mutual trust is obligatory. In the restaurant at omii all the food tastes like it did during childhood. Ordering and payment is effected via the app. The QR code is displayed on your table. There are generally no table reservations either and all the food is placed in the centre of the table to share. Crazy, isn’t it?

And then there is the name.

kerii – your little darling. Where did the name come from then? I mean, it doesn’t cost anything to ask. Maybe you’ve even googled it, but you’re still not quite sure. Let’s take a look on Google together. It might become quite clear then. My name comes from the heart-shaped leaved plant Hoya kerrii – the sweetheart of waxplants and is, with the impressions I can see in the image search, an actual star.

kerii. A real darling. Some courage is needed too, and we definitely have that. Lisi, Andrea, Martin, Stefan and Lisbeth.

We are for one another.

Appreciating one another is probably the nicest kind of gift we can give each other and also a kind of freedom from barriers, which in my opinion, makes life so much easier for all of us. Irrespective of where you come from, your beliefs and how you act, me and my darlings in the kerii emphasise mutual trust and respect.

We see one another.

Although so much here with me in the kerii is set up in a way that you don’t necessarily need to come into contact with anybody, nonetheless, it is people who make this hotel a special place. Whenever you meet someone in the restaurant, just walking around, on the roof-top garden, in the green house, or elsewhere, feel free to strike up a conversation. We give the gift of new life.

We rummage about and in large collections search out what is special. Lots of old items of furniture and rare pieces that have long been forgotten about, find a new place here with me in the kerii. Upcycling instead of throwing away. Repairing instead of buying new. After all, this is the only way a hotel can gain its character, enabling history to live on.

We create a space to live in.

Not just for our guests, but for many animals too, who look upon this green oasis in much the same way we humans do. In our case we need a fairly thick skin and plenty of ferro concrete to create new spaces for us to live in on several levels. Hence, nature is the core of what we do. For the majority of the time at least. Ultimately there should still be time to taste the fresh fruits in the ‘snack’ garden, watch the birds building nests, or just to sit quietly for once and build castles in the sky.

We reach out a hand to each other.

Embraced from the outset. Created by many helping hands. Constantly changing and so full of life. Your little darling. What if only one valuable piece were missing, there was one less helping hand, a partner said no. You won’t find this with me. That is why today, as well as tomorrow, is a real gift, when we reach out our hands to one another and provide support.
